An old warehouse near the Shore
Most people want to see the place before they decide. This is it, outside and in, on an ordinary weekday morning with nobody training.
The door is a plain one on a cobbled side street a few minutes' walk from the Shore. There's no reception, no turnstile and no one at a desk. Whichever of us you're booked with opens it for you.
Inside there is one room, and for the hour you're here it's yours. Nobody else trains at the same time, because there are no members. That's the whole arrangement.
What's in the room: a rack, a few bars, plates, kettlebells, a bench and a box. What isn't: mirrors, music you didn't choose, machines, a changing room full of strangers. There's a loo and somewhere to put your coat.
Come in whatever you'd wear to walk the dog. Nobody here will be looking at it.

Opening hours
The door opens at half six on weekday mornings for people who want their session done before work, and stays open into the evening for people who'd rather come after it. Saturday mornings are for everyone else.
Every session is booked in advance. There's no drop-in, because there's nobody to drop in alongside.

How to find us
We're in Leith, a few minutes' walk from the Shore, on one of the quiet side streets between the water and the foot of Leith Walk. The door is unmarked, so we send the street, the door number and a photograph of it with your booking confirmation. You won't be left guessing on the pavement.
- On foot
- From the Shore or the foot of Leith Walk it's a short walk, flat the whole way.
- By tram or bus
- Anything that stops at the Shore or the foot of the Walk leaves you close. Ring if you're unsure which way to turn.
- By car
- There's usually space on the street nearby. Fiona sat in hers outside for ten minutes the first time, which we'd gently suggest you skip.
Get in touch
If you're not ready to book and just want to ask something first, that's a perfectly good reason to write. Whether a bad back rules you out (it usually doesn't), whether you can bring a friend, whether you need to have done anything before. Ailsa or Rory will answer, not a system.

Or just come and try it, free
I sat in the car outside for ten minutes the first time, and I needn't have.

Her first session was free. Yours is too.
You've seen the door and the room. The quickest way to find out whether it suits you is to spend an hour in it with Ailsa or Rory, lift a few things that feel manageable, and then decide. If it's not for you, nobody will chase you.
